Tara joined Langer & Langer as an attorney in 2005 and represents clients seriously injured as the result of medical negligence, vehicle crashes and other types of negligent conduct. In 2011, Tara was named as one of Indiana Lawyer’s “Up and Coming Lawyers.” In 2010 she received the “Max Goodwin Young Lawyer of the Year Award,” the highest honor that can be given to a young lawyer by the Indiana Trial Lawyers Association for her dedication to protecting the rights of injured people, her devotion to community and helping to advance Indiana Law in a positive direction for Indiana residents.
Tara is actively involved in the Indiana Trial Lawyers Association (ITLA), serving on its Board of Directors since March 2010. Tara is a co-editor of ITLA’s Case Appellate Reporter and has received two appreciation awards from ITLA for her volunteer efforts in authoring Amicus briefs on issues important to Indiana victims of medical negligence. She has also organized volunteer efforts with Gleaner’s Food Bank on behalf of ITLA’s Young Lawyers Section.
Tara and her husband, Mark, serve as a “Big Couple” through Big Brothers Big Sisters to an Indianapolis 12 year-old boy, and are involved in the Zionsville Lions Club, where she began her term as the 2nd Vice President during the summer of 2011. When not working or volunteering, Tara and Mark enjoy travel, golf, working on their home and spending time with their family.
Tara received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Public Health in 2002 from Indiana University and received her Juris Doctorate from Valparaiso University School of Law in 2005, where she received course honors in Professional Ethics and Trial Practice. Tara is also a member of the American Association for Justice, American Bar Association, Indiana State Bar Association, and Indianapolis Bar Association where she has participated in “Ask a Lawyer” and “Why Lincoln was a Lawyer” programs.
