Attorney Kayleen Teufel brings to Langer & Langer a commitment to use her legal skills and background to assist individuals and families going through a vulnerable situation. She reveals empathy, intelligence and sensitivity as she counsels clients on family law matters.
Kayleen served as a law clerk for The Honorable Richard Stalbrink, LaPorte Count Superior Court 2 in Michigan City, Indiana. The position provided her with valuable exposure to the courtroom and chambers. During law school, she was active in the Student Bar Association and completed internships at the Illinois Liquor Control Commission, Hammond Legal Aid Clinic and Valparaiso University’s Criminal Law Clinic. As a student, she also worked on research and document preparation for trial lawyers in Illinois and Indiana.
Kayleen earned her undergraduate degree in business management and leadership at Bradley University. On campus, she was a member and leader in Pi Beta Phi Sorority, where she served as Senior Transition Officer and President of Finance. She now contributes to the Alumni Advisory Committee for the chapter at Valparaiso University as she advises on risk management matters and works on philanthropy projects.
As a community volunteer, Kayleen has been actively involved with the Illinois Girls State program of the American Legion Women’s Auxiliary. She started as a Counselor who facilitated group activities focused on team building, leadership and politics and continued to become a Staff Advisor supervising several Counselors. Her experience has come full circle as she continues to mentor high school women through this unique government-in-action learning program in which participants become patriotic citizens who are knowledgeable stewards of freedom and fluent in the tenets of democracy.
Kayleen is admitted to practice in Indiana in the Northern and Southern Districts.
