While every case is different, there are certain things you can expect. Probably the most important thing to know is that every case requires patience. There will be times when a lot of things happen at once — especially at the start of a case when our attorneys and staff work with you to gather important information. There will be other times when it seems like things aren’t happening at all because all the activity is taking place between attorneys or with the court. Our Indiana lawyers regularly share important information and update clients on their cases. But we also encourage our clients to call us with any questions or concerns.
Langer & Langer works hard to make ourselves available to our clients. Attorneys provide every client with a personal cell phone number, and if we can’t take a call immediately, we do everything we can to return it within the same day. A client’s questions are important to us because that client is important to us.
Our fees are based on number of factors including the type of case for which a client needs legal services. In a personal injury or medical malpractice case, we work on a contingency fee. This means we pay all expenses and waive our hourly rate in return for a percentage of the recovery if the case is successful. For some services such as divorce or real estate law, we charge on an hourly basis. Before we take on a new case, our attorneys work with clients to make sure we’re all in agreement on any charges or fees.
